It all started in a small butcher’s shop in the Kent village of Rolvenden. Jim and John Hoad originally rented the shop in 1959 from where they ran a successful butcher’s and game shop. With the business proving successful, they were then able to buy the shop two years later. It was here that the original Korker Sausage recipe was made and has been in the Hoad family for four generations was introduced. The customer response was so good that they decided to shut the shop and concentrate on the wholesale production of Korker Sausages.
In 2014 Jim retired and handed down the business to his children, with Ed Hoad managing the business ever since.
In 2020 due to continued business growth, Ed decided to expand the business with a larger freezer and production area to help respond to market demand and in addition increasing staff employment.
