About a year ago Stepstone Imaging were asked to do the food photography for a recipe book with a social enterprise company called “Cook for Good”. They run community programmes tackling food poverty and social isolation, funded by corporate team building events.
They are based in Kings Cross, London and also run free cookery classes, community meals and run a surplus food pantry all for the local community.
It was an honour to do this work as we knew it would make a great impact on the local residents and help fund continued work for Cook for Good. The book itself is a collection of soup recipes and also features personal inspiring stories all from the local community.
Incredibly we got all 50 soup recipes, toppings and bread images all done in 3 quite long shoot days, using limited space within their kitchen and pantry. It was such a great team effort with a professional stylist and project manager on set as we were shooting to aid creative decision making.
As for the images themselves once edited and sized they were meticulously sorted through and chosen for print.
And we can now proudly say it is available to buy on Amazon, here: https://amzn.eu/d/3F4AaE4
