Forget scrabbling around for supermarket delivery spots, and sweating it out in the kitchen, Matt Sworder, chef and owner of The Corner House in Canterbury is back with his sell-out Christmas at Home service, doing all the hard work so you don’t have to.
Taking the
stress out of Christmas Day lunch, local chef Matt is offering a luxurious menu
for two, with a choice of the restaurant’s most popular festive mains including
the restaurant’s superb beef wellington.
The Corner House
Christmas at Home will be available for collection on the morning of Christmas
Eve from The Corner House restaurant Canterbury. Meals can be enjoyed that
day, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
Christmas At
Home mains comprise: Beef wellington for two people, served with dauphinoise
potatoes, kale, confit carrot, homemade mushroom ketchup and red wine jus
(£55); Lamb shoulder for two, dauphinoise potatoes, roasted carrots, kale, lamb
jus (£45) and Butternut squash wellington (vegan) for one person – served with
Tenderstem broccoli, tomato and shallot dressing and miso whipped tofu (£15).
Matt says, “The
thought of having to cook Christmas dinner can be a daunting task for many
people. We’re only too happy to help, by bringing The Corner House experience
to people at home again! It’s all about freeing up more time to spend with
family and friends - for our team too, who get to be at home on Christmas Day!”
He added, “The
Corner House At Home was a business born out of surviving the Covid-19 lockdown
restaurant survival. We’ve taken this learning to deliver our guests a unique
offer this Christmas day so that they can enjoy Corner House quality food from
the comfort of their home.”
Each At Home box
contains simple instructions on how to store and prepare the meal, showing how
simple finishing off food at home really is.
There is limited
availability for the Christmas boxes and diners are asked to order before
December 9th to avoid disappointment.
