The artisan ice cream producer has partnered with fellow Kent confectionery business Simply Divine Cookies to create a brand-new Cookie Dough ice cream.
Simply Ice Cream’s latest launch, Cookie Dough Ice Cream, is a delicious blend of creamy ice cream with generous chunks of cookie dough from Simply Divine Cookies. The collaboration combines the creamy perfection of renowned local Kent ice cream business Simply Ice Cream with the irresistible charm of Simply Divine Cookies' handcrafted cookie dough.
Each 500ml tub of Cookie Dough ice cream costs £5.99 and can be found in independent cafes, delis and hospitality venues throughout London and the Southeast. The new flavour can also be bought in single serve 120ml tubs from £2.50.
Simply Divine Cookies was brought to the UK by Beth Carter, a GB athlete who discovered the cookie dough whilst training in the US. After returning home Beth was missing her sweet fix and realised there wasn’t anything readily available in the UK, so with the help of Simply Divine Cookies in America she set up a franchise and began selling the unique American recipe to stockists in England.
The cookie dough is available in five flavours, including Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Snicker Doodle. Individual tubs of cookie dough make around 8 good sized cookies, giving a quick and easy way to bake perfect cookies.
Beth wanted to expand the formats of the cookie dough and reached out to local businesswoman Sally Newall – the founder of Simply Ice Cream. They partnered to develop the new ice cream flavour and it’s been a hit with stockists from the get-go.
The new flavour can be found in a number of independents including Macknades Farm Shop in Faversham, Groombridge Farm Shop in Tunbridge Wells and Gibson’s Farm Shop in Wingham to name a few. It will also be available to buy directly from Simply Ice Cream’s own website, alongside over 30 other flavours.
Sally Newall, Founder of Simply Ice Cream, says “When Beth reached out with the idea of collaborating, we knew it was a no-brainer. Her cookie dough is second to none and we knew our customers would be delighted with the new addition to our collection. It’s already been a hit with our stockists.”
Simply Ice Cream have been handcrafting their ice cream for over 15 years in the heart of the Kentish countryside. They have won numerous food and business awards and are stocked in over 450 outlets. They are known best for their Heavenly Honeycomb ice cream, made with handmade honeycomb that’s crushed into bitesize pieces before being swirled through their 50% double cream ice cream.
The artisan business recently won Dairy Product of the Year with their Heavenly Honeycomb, in the Taste of Kent Awards. In 2022 they were winners in the FSB Awards, Kent Business Awards and Muddy Stilettos Awards.
The newest flavour in their collection promises to delight ice cream enthusiasts and cookie lovers alike.
