Macknade Celebrates 175 Years of Quality & Community

Macknade is celebrating the King’s Coronation with a Best of British after party in its recently re-opened Food Village on Sunday 7th May.

Taking place between 11am & 2.30pm, everyone is invited to join in the celebrations, with activities throughout the day for the entire family.

Tutored tastings and masterclasses from suppliers & friends, including WildBox, Wasted Kitchen, Zak’s Kombucha & Kentish Pip.

Kids seed planting and crown-making activities

The afternoon will finish with live music from local, Whitstable band, the Rock Lobsters, who will be playing British bangers.

Serving up the Best of British flavours from the Macknade kitchen, alongside a selection of dishes & speciality drinks from Macknade’s resident food & drink traders, The Little Katsu Kitchen, Al Taco, Mamie’s Crepes, Macie Cakes and Wildbox.

The event is free of charge and guests can drop in at any point between 11am and 6.30pm. Free parking is available at Macknade or it is only a short 15 minute walk from the station.
