Hooray for Zingiberi Bakery as they win yet another award...

Hooray! The Captain’s: Cracked Pepper & Sea Salt Crackers have only just gone and won a Quality Food Award!!!

Announced by Greg Wallace and Alan from Strictly. The latest in a long list of awards we are proud to have received https://uk.qualityfoodawards.com/QFA22/en/page/results-day-one

Up against many national brands we are delighted that the judges recognised The Captain’s Crackers. The Quality Food Awards are one of the most prestigious awards to win in the industry today. Products from every sector are judged according to a long established ten point judging criteria, covering all aspects of the product from aroma, flavour, texture, value for money, ingredients, and above all else, taste.

As a small family business on the north Kent coast, that produces The Captain’s Crackers and The Captain’s Cookies its wonderful to be recognised on a national level.

We strive to make our products as sustainable as possible. Our concern for the impact of plastic pollution on our environment is why all our packaging is plastic free and fully home compostable.

In addition to our environmentally friendly packaging, we source all our materials and ingredients as locally as possible. We’re also palm oil free, it’s cheap, but it’s production is responsible for deforestation of the equatorial rainforests and the exploitation of workers in developing countries.

We only use olive oil and cold pressed rapeseed oil in our crackers and British butter in our cookies because we feel it results in a superior product that, importantly is less impactful on the environment and they also taste amazing too, as our many awards demonstrate.

Awards to date include - Three Taste of Kent Awards, including Product of the Year; three Great British Food Awards, twenty one Great Taste Awards and a Quality Food Award.
