The green hop beer is now in tank, the only change being that our neighbours at Hukins hop farm decided to pick the Challenger on Wednesday instead of Fuggles, so the hop has changed, and as we only had one chance to brew this beer we went with it. Released in 1972 by Wye College, Challenger is a hybrid of Northdown and Northern Brewer, and is said to have a flavour profile of Spice, Cedar, Green Tea and sweet floral notes. The beer will be a 4% Blonde ale with some wheat and oats in the grist, and fermented on Old English yeast, from WHC Labs as usual.
It'll be a week or two until it is ready to ship, but this is a one hit only deal that is going to be available in casks as a McCanns beer, and in cans as a Twisted Wheel beer. Casks are £85 list (so apply whatever discount you get to that price) and cans are £16.40 for 12x 440ml. Contact us now for your order
