Elite Pubs is delighted to announce their new adventure, Wildshark vineyard

With breath-taking views, wild meadows, springs, viewing points and more, you'll be guided around the stunning vineyard by one of their wine experts. You'll learn all about their grapes, wine and processes before enjoying a tasting and BBQ made by their chef or a picnic to enjoy in their beautiful meadows.

5 types of grapes are being grown at the vineyard including Bacchus, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris. They have release their very first Rosé and Bacchus this year. As well as wines, Wildshark has perfected their Artisan Gin, made with honey, Pinot Gris and wildflowers, it’s a stunning addition to our drinks list.

Wildshark vineyard is an eco-friendly sustainable vineyard in the heart of Kent. Sustaining the unique biodiversity of the property is an extremely important part of their ethos. Wild flowers have been planted in every second row of vines at the vineyard. By doing this, they encourage their partner insects to pollinate the flowers whilst the plants themselves enrich the soil.

They have regenerated the old watercress beds and have planted a diverse range of native bulbs, flowers, trees and ferns in the surrounding area. They have replanted native hawthorn and mixed hedgerows, as well as many native trees all around the site to encourage bird species that have been in decline for many years. Bee hives have been introduced into the woods to help pollinators but they also have the benefit of producing sun-enriched natural honey. There are now owl boxes in the woods which make wonderful homes for local owls to bring up their offspring. The stream and lake have also been restocked with trout.

Tours are now live and you can enjoy 3 different types of tour:

Tour Tasting & BBQ (£75pp)

A one hour guided tour through the vineyard followed by a one hour tutored tasting session in their Watercress Hut situated by the springs and BBQ cooked up by the chef.

Tour, Tasting & Picnic for Two (£95)

A one hour guided tour through the vineyard followed by a luxury picnic hamper including fresh local produce and a bottle of their wine for two to be enjoyed by the lake.

Tour, Tasting & Exclusive Lake house use (from £400)

A one hour private tour through the vineyard followed by a one hour tutored tasting session in the private lake house before being presented with luxury picnic hampers and bottles of wine to enjoy. 8-14 guests.
