Happy New year to you all! The festive season feels far away now and so too do some of our optimistic resolutions! 😬
For those of you that are tackling Veganuary this month, we hear from two of our lovely Green Farm team mates in our latest blog article. Shelly Woodcock (our wonderful Garden Manager) and Alex Hanly (one of our excellent yoga instructors) – a vegan and a former vegan –talk about their past experiences and present viewpoints on their diet and lifestyle.
On the farm this month we’re keeping an eye out for snowdrops. Their first bloom of the year is always a cheerful sight and a wonderful iSpy game if you’re planning a family walk through our ancient woodland.
We’ll also be making sure our cattle our well fed in this icy cold weather. They are still fine and happy roaming their pastures however we keep them topped up with our stocks of Green Farm harvested hay to ensure they’re staying full and well.
As for us humans, before daily work starts we’re still getting out early for those cold water dips in our natural wildlife pond, followed by a cup of tea by the log fire. And on the mornings we’re feeling less brave, watching the sunrise over our meadows from the sauna is a real treat.
You have to make time for YOU amidst your hectic routine and keep your wellbeing levels topped up.
We’re here to help and encourage you to do exactly that, all year round.
So let’s get started for a fantastic 2024
