At Gilda we don’t use unnecessary additives, we simply add time and experience. As a specialist in sourdough and using natural yeast, our bread is a product of patience and a lot of love. The result is our delicious range of plain and flavoured loaves, and decadent, flaky pastries.
The bakery was established by Jon Warren who brings his rich culinary experience from one of the world’s food capitals, San Sebastian, to the Kent countryside. Each member of the Gilda team brings a wealth of experience to our bakery, including working in a popular London Bakery and many prestigiousl Kent restaurants.
Gilda is a big supporter of local; we supply many local restaurants, including The Bridge Arms, The Pig and The Dog at Wingham. Every weekend we also have a stall at Faversham Market, where we sell our signature bakes to the local community.
Our beautiful farm building premises has been converted into a bakery, where our customers are invited to experience Gilda from start to finish with our open-plan kitchen / retail space. We also operate a click and collect service if you want to make sure you dont miss out on your favourite bakes.!
