20th November 2024
The renowned Kent wine producer, Simpsons’ Wine Estate, is opening its doors on Saturday 23 November 2024 for a fun and festive Winter Open House event.
Established in 2012 in the village of Barham, just south of Canterbury, Simpsons’ Wine Estate has been going from strength to strength crafting award-winning English still and sparkling wines, which are garnering praise around the globe and are currently being poured on board British Airways in Club World.
The latest accolade being tipped for Simpsons’ is ‘British Luxury Brand of the Year 2024’ at the Walpole Awards. Walpole is the official sector body for UK luxury and it counts more than 250 British brands in its membership, including icons such as Alexander McQueen; Burberry; Bentley; Fortnum & Mason; Gleneagles; Mulberry; Rolls-Royce Motor Cars; The Savoy and Wedgwood. The winning brand is decided by Walpole members and will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held at The Dorchester on Monday 18 November.
Co-founder, Ruth Simpson comments; “To even be nominated is a huge accolade and we raise our glasses to our fellow finalists: Cunard, Jo Malone London and The Londoner. This award exemplifies the creativity, innovation, as well as the social and environmental responsibility at the core of the luxury sector, which are also fundamental pillars in our business. We are pleased and proud to once again be raising funds for our chosen local charity, Demelza, and look forward to welcoming our guests to the Estate at our festive Open House.”
Demelza offers end of life care for children and young people, alongside bereavement support for family members across Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Proceeds from the ticket sales for the Simpsons’ Open House event will go to Demelza, with their amazing team having a presence on the day.
Macknade, The Oak and Rope Company and Annie Brown Aromathérapie will also be joining the festivities on Saturday 23 November, with General Admission tickets at £10 per person and the chance to upgrade and join a special Masterclass for £40.00 per person.
