Docker Brewery is coming home. After years of brewing in West Hythe, the beloved local brewery is returning to Folkestone, the town where it all began, with a stripped back taproom and production space. The doors officially open on Saturday, April 12, 2025, marking both the brewery’s relocation and its 9th anniversary.
Born on Folkestone’s Harbour Arm in a converted shipping container, Docker Brewery has always been deeply rooted in Kent. Now, the brewery is moving into a new space with a fresh approach, and commitment to crafting beer that truly belongs to Folkestone. Bringing Brewing Back to Folkestone
Kent has a rich brewing history, and Docker is proud to be part of it. The new Folkestone taproom, located on Park Farm Estate, will have a range of taps alongside tank-fresh beer, poured directly from the brewery’s tanks for the freshest possible pint. Visitors can enjoy Docker’s full range of beer on draught, takeaway options, and a welcoming space designed for the community to gather and celebrate Kent’s brewing heritage.
"Folkestone has always been our home, and bringing the brewery back here feels like the right next step,” said Pete Nelson, Co-Founder of Docker Brewery. “We’re not just making beer - we’re making beer that belongs to this place. With the new taproom, we can finally share that experience in the heart of Folkestone, with the people who have supported us from the very beginning.”
Opening Event & 9th Birthday Celebration - Saturday 12th April
To mark the occasion, Docker Brewery will be hosting a special opening event on April 12th, 12pm - 9pm, which also celebrates Docker’s 9th anniversary. The event will feature exclusive beer releases, local wine, and food from Alkham Valley Pizza, known for their incredible stone baked pizza.
The new space, located in Folkestone’s Park Farm estate, will not only serve as a production site but also as a social hub where beer lovers can enjoy Docker’s latest creations, attend tasting events, and experience the vibrant local craft beer scene firsthand.
Docker Brewery is now in Unit C, Five Acre Estate, Park Farm, Folkestone, CT19 5DS (located right next to Screw Fix).
Docker Bakery is also in Park Farm Estate, but at a separate location. The two sites are a 10-minute walk apart.
