19th February 2025
With Spring almost in bloom and Easter just around the corner, Broadstairs Food Festival should be a keynote on your holiday calendar.
The three-day weekend (18th to 20th April) will have a basketful of foodie treats and egg-citing activities for the whole family.
It will promise to be an Easter of indulgence with almost 100 of Kent’s finest producers offering delicious sweet and savoury treats and hot food. The Victoria Gardens, with their unique clifftop location, is awash with an impressive range of drinks from local ales and ciders to luscious contributions from award winning and Kent vineyards and distilleries.
Children can hop into the Easter spirit, joining in a basketful of activities. The festival marquee is brimming with family-friendly fun sessions, many of them free to attend. There are sessions for all ages including a chance to screen-printing table mats; seaweed pressing, tasty planting and a finale of Easter crown making.
There’s plenty of seating in the new-for-2025 vintage-styled tea parlour for those looking for a restorative pot of English Breakfast. Or why not treat yourselves to a glass of fizz in the seafood and champagne marquee?
A festival is not a festival without music and Broadstairs won’t be the exception to the rule. There is ample outdoor seating around the bandstand, with its programme of local musicians on each of the three days.
To help keep the event free-to-enter, the festival is raising funds through an online draw. For the less than a price of a cup of coffee, you could be a winner of a two-night stay in a coastal apartment, courtesy of Seastay Apartments. Go on – give it a go! (see www.broadstairsfoodfestival.org.uk for How To Enter)
While you are on site, say ‘Hello’ to our legendary volunteers. This free-to-attend event wouldn’t be successful without the support from our crew. It really is a community effort and the Festival wouldn’t be where it is today without the hard work and dedication from our volunteers.
Make Broadstairs Food Festival the highlight of your Easter holiday!
