Godinton House Autumn Fair

Independent producers will set up stalls in the cricket field, opposite the beautiful Grade I* listed house, from 11am to 4pm.

The event marks the end of a wonderful season of opening to the public at the house and gardens in Godinton Lane, near Ashford.

Most producers at the Autumn Fair will come from within 40 miles of Ashford, if not much closer. There will be wines to taste from nearby vineyard Nine Oaks in Hothfield, and Warehorne Vineyard, gin from new producer Pleasant Lane Distillery, of Dover as well as craft beer from McCanns Brewery, of Ashford and warm mulled cider from Wise Owl Cider of Maidstone.

Among the caterers will be Lambtastic, of Egerton alongside Cake Hole Bakery, of Dymchurch and Gilda Bakery of Bishopsbourne near Canterbury.

The House Tearoom will also be open to visitors.

Arts and crafts stalls will offer locally hand-made gifts from jewellery, soaps and skincare products while Kent artists will display bespoke sculpture, pottery, paintings and woodcrafts.

Visitors can also enjoy exploring the 12-acre gardens which feature a Walled Garden, Italian Garden, Twin Borders and ponds before the house and gardens close for the winter season on Sunday, October 13 (12.30pm-5.30pm).
